Exotic and precious<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nHigh-quality 3-ply yarn, highly prized for its unique properties. Very soft, light as a cloud, delicate, and rather rare, baby llama fiber is often compared to cashmere for its luxurious texture. The term \"baby llama\" refers to the fineness of the fiber, not necessarily the animal's age. It is actually a designation for the first shearing, or for the finest, softest fibers in an adult llama's fleece. The production of this yarn is based on a fair trade and solidarity approach, aiming to promote Bolivian craftsmanship and establish lasting and equitable relationships with producers.
\nSimilar to alpaca wool, it is nevertheless slightly thicker than its cousin and much silkier than sheep's wool. Containing no lanolin, it is considered hypoallergenic, making it an ideal choice for clothing that comes into contact with the skin. It is often recommended for sensitive skin, including that of babies. It doesn't need to be washed frequently, as llama fiber is naturally odor-resistant. A simple airing is usually sufficient.
\nAlthough very fine, baby llama yarns are surprisingly strong, perfectly suited to projects requiring durability. It's the ideal yarn for the whole family.
