Fluidity and finesse
Two-ply yarn, light as the breeze, made of 100% natural 25 micron wool. Very fine, very soft, extremely fluid and strong, it is suitable for both Lace knitting on the machine and very precise hand knitting. Structured yarn with a slight shine, it can be knitted alone in single thread, assembled in double thread or with another thread. It will be perfect for very delicate works, with openwork patterns or fancy stitches for lace effects, perfect for making an airy shawl or a large vaporous and cloudy cardigan (by doubling the thread). With a simple stitch, knitted with very fine needles or small hooks, you will obtain a fine, tight and uniform mesh, perfect for baby accessories or light tops. The rendering is magnificent but requires great technical mastery. It is also perfectly suited to weaving, embroidery, tapestry, sewing or canvas work.

What is a Lace yarn?
Lace yarn is very light and delicate. Skeins are generally 600 to 800m per 100g. To obtain a uniform and perfectly tight fabric, it is knitted with very fine needles from 1.5mm to 2.5mm or with steel hooks 1.4mm to 1.6mm (2.25mm with a regular hook). Lace yarn is perfect for making a spidery shawl, a light top, a large, vaporous and cloudy cardigan (by doubling the thread), or even lace accessories. Usually this yarn is knitted with larger needles to give more relief to the work, to create openwork patterns and complex details. It can be used alone or in combination with another fiber to give an airy touch to your projects.

What is a Light Fingering yarn?
Super fine knitting yarn, Light fingering in English, is a yarn that is between Lace and Fingering. Ideal for knitting and crocheting socks or baby accessories, with needles from 2mm to 3mm or with hooks from 2.25mm to 3.5mm, it is just as interesting for shawls, stoles or light pieces to wear all year round. It is also appreciated as a sock yarn, also used for gloves and mittens. Skeins are generally around 400 to 500m for 100g.

Maintenance tips

To care for naturally dyed fibers:
– Wash and rinse your item carefully by hand, separately, in water at 30°C maximum.
– Use an organic vegetable soap or a mild natural detergent, neutral pH. A few drops of organic baby shampoo without soap will also take care of the wool and the color.
The use of soap or detergent with a pH that is too high, vinegar, baking soda, etc. is to be avoided, as this would permanently affect the color.
– Do not wring. Dry flat (to avoid deforming your work) away from direct sunlight.

Informations

Bat
We dye small quantities of yarn at a time. All skeins sold under the same reference come from the same batch. As this is an artisanal work, there may however be slight variations in shades between these skeins.
Each batch is unique, it is impossible to obtain exactly the same shade from one batch to another. Remember to alternate the skeins in your projects and make sure to order enough yarn for your project.

Don't worry
Despite numerous rinses and careful washing in the workshop, some colors (especially the most intense ones) may still slightly stain your hands when making your work or color the water when you care for it. This is simply excess dye, the final result will not be affected. There may also sometimes be a little plant powder stuck to the fibers that will come off on its own.

Colors, photographs and screens
Particular care is taken in the production of photographs to be as close as possible to real colors. But natural colors have rich and subtle tones that computer screens (computers, tablets, smartphones) cannot reproduce. The perception of colors can therefore vary depending on the screen, sometimes creating a slight discrepancy with the real color of the object.
